Cardano Records More Developer Activity Than Ethereum is the Takeover on the Way

As Cardano is moving forward with its development, Ethereum is moving forward as well. Ethereum intends to reach the final stage of its core development, Ethereum 2.0, as soon as possible.

Ethereum 2.0 will come with significant improvements on the Ethereum blockchain but Cardano intends to beat Ethereum to it. Cardano developers have made significant progress with the development of Node Update v1.19. This update will make some parts of the Cardano blockchain 100 times faster than others. Let’s not forget to mention the partnership with Runtime verification and overhaul of the Daedalus wallet.

The partnership with Runtime verification will lead to the production of a virtual machine similar to the Ethereum Virtual Machine but much better. Hoskinson is convinced that Yella, the virtual machine, will change the game for Cardano permanently but only time will tell.

  • Data from Github Shows a Spike in Developer Activity on the Cardano Blockchain That Surpasses Ethereum and Bitcoin
  • Charles Hoskinson Believes That His New Virtual Machine Will Change the Game for the Blockchain

Cardano has been trying to overtake Ethereum by creating a more decentralized and more scalable decentralized computer. While members of the Ethereum community don’t think this is going to be possible but the progress Cardano has made so far is commendable. According to the recent data from Github, the Cardano blockchain recorded a surge in developer activity that put it ahead of Ethereum so far for October in terms of developer activity. What exactly does this mean?

Developer Activity on the Cardano Blockchain Keeps Growing

The data put Cardano as number one followed by Ethereum in second place but Bitcoin was in the 6th place. It’s not a surprise that Cardano has experienced a surge in developer activity since they have been working hard to ensure the successful transition from PoW to PoS. As they work toward the next stage of development, Goguen, and with Voltaire in development, the Cardano blockchain is gearing up to take Ethereum’s place as the foremost decentralized computer in the space.

Goguen is going to be released in 3-phases before the end of the year. More details about the update will be published in the roadmap later in the month. They have already released the first feature of Goguen with the metadata transactions. In the second phase, they will transition from a single to a multi-asset system allowing users to create their tokens on the Cardano blockchain. This multi-asset system is going to be more superior to Ethereum’s system according to Charles Hoskinson.
