Nuggets Reveal Bold Colors, New Logo For Uniforms

The Nuggets have missed the playoffs the last five seasons – could a new color scheme help them end the drought in 2018? Over the course of the franchise’s history, twice have uniform changes led to playoff appearances – the 1993-1994 and 2003-2004 seasons.

The Denver Nuggets unveiled a new look this evening at a VIP reception in Downtown Denver.

Over the last few weeks, the Nuggets removed their old logos from social media accounts and their website and replaced it with the word “Evolve” and today’s date.

On Wednesday night, the Nuggets revealed their new look, which features the Denver city skyline, miners picks and a basketball along with bold colors for the uniforms.

“Our franchise has a rich history containing numerous logo and color designs throughout our incredible 50-year story in Denver, “said Josh Kroenke, Vice Chairman of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, in a statement.

“The journey leading to this moment started several years ago with extensive market research and numerous in-depth conversations with our fans, players and key partners.

“The Denver Nuggets have always welcomed change and are continually looking for ways to innovate as shown by our evolution from the ABA’s Denver Rockets, to Maxie the Miner, the iconic Rainbow Skyline, and on to the Mountain Peak and Pickaxe.

Each era of Nuggets basketball has its own distinct look and feel, and our amazing fans should know that this latest progression aims to celebrate our unique history while turning the page to represent the current and future era of our team.”
