i-Rocks K76M Illuminated Mechanical Keyboard Review

I had made note of a second keyboard that came along with the i-Rocks K70E capacitive keyboard we looked at before, and here we are today. The replacement top panel and covers/skins were all originally designed for their K76M keyboard, which is an interesting product that aims to up the fun factor even more.

Think LEGO, except not really because that is a trademarked term, and you might now be either quite confused, very intrigued, or both. So let’s thank i-Rocks again for sending this keyboard along for a TechPowerUp review.

This picture really says it all, and it’s a good thing i-Rocks took some images of the LEGO bricks-compatible nature of this keyboard because I do not have any here to show off. So what we have out of the box is a keyboard with a top panel that can be used as a building board to customize your keyboard with as you desire.

But don’t dismiss this as a one-trick pony for there are other features that make the K76M “Fun” more so than any other keyboard as well. There’s the usual backlighting, of course, but i-Rocks claims to have developed new switches based on the old Alps design, a variation of which is employed here. Let us begin the review with a look at the specifications below.
