Gemini Launches Credit Card with Mastercard, to Reward Users in BTC

News of Gemini and Mastercard partnering to launch a credit card comes less than a week after the exchange announced that it had integrated Apple Pay and Google pay onto the platform.

Gemini Now Supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Gemini users around the world can now purchase Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Furthermore, owners of the Gemini Credit Card will also have the chance at linking their cards to Apple Pay and Google Pay as soon as they are approved.

The crypto exchange of Gemini has announced a new partnership with Mastercard aimed at issuing a crypto-centric credit card to qualified users. The team at Gemini made public the partnership with Mastercard via the following tweet.

Interested users of the Gemini credit card are requested to register through a waitlist.

According to Reuters, the Gemini Credit Card will be available for users this summer and only in the United States. It will be issued by WebBank which is a Utah-based digital lender.

Furthermore, users of the credit card will earn up to 3% back on dining, 2% on groceries and 1% on other purchases. Gemini credit card users will have the option of receiving their rewards in Bitcoin or any other crypto offered for trading on the crypto exchange.

There will be no annual fee for the credit card. Management of the card will be available through the Gemini mobile app. Customization of the credit card will also be an option with users having the choice of metal cards in black, silver and rose gold.
