DENVER (CBS4) –
A strong cold front moving through Colorado and a high pressure moving to the east created quite the windy Tuesday for us.
We’ve experienced gusts over 80 mph in some areas of the foothills and plains, with gusts over 60 mph in the Denver area. These winds will stay strong well past sunset, but should improve tonight. Winds will still be strong on Wednesday, but nothing like Tuesday.
The mountains saw some snow, and could see that stick around into the overnight hours.
Behind the front on Wednesday winds will be lighter, but still on the strong side. We’ll be a bit cooler and temperatures will be cooler. Next chance for measurable moisture will be a storm system Friday into Saturday that may bring showers, thunderstorms and possible snow.
