Latest Forecast: Looking At A Monday Warm Up

We are heading into a warming and drying trend to start the new week. High pressure to the south and an approaching cold front in the Pacific northwest will get southwest winds kicking up over the central Rockies.

This will bring in mostly clear skies across the state for Monday with warming temperatures over the eastern plains.

So it looks like another windy day for most of the state. With the stronger gusts in the mountains and foothills of the Front Range. There is a Red Flag Warning for high fire danger in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and the far eastern and south eastern plains from Burlington down into Springfield and over into Trinidad.

The next cold front will arrive late Tuesday into Wednesday. There will be light snow with this one in the mountains. While Denver and the eastern plains will see an increase of clouds and cooler temperatures for the middle of the week.
